Austin Cindric wears Braves hat in meeting with Joey Logano, responds to Chipper Jones after Talladega feud

The last two weeks have been a roller coaster ride when it comes to Austin Cindric, Joey Logano, and MLB legend Chipper Jones. Who knew that Chipper was such a big NASCAR fan?

When Joey Logano went on his Talladega tirade on the radio, Chipper Jones called him out for it. That caused a strange rift, seemingly, between Austin Cindric and Logano.

Cindric joked that he keeps an Atlanta Braves hat in his truck to wear when he’s out and wants to be a little more incognito. Well, he made sure not to wear it the day after Talladega and the Chipper drama.

However, it appears that Logano and Jones are on good footing again. As much as two complete strangers can be on good footing, anyway. The Atlanta Braves icon congratulated Logano after his win at Texas last night.

So, Austin Cindric got the Braves hat back out. Then he sent a picture of himself with Joey Logano as a reply to the Chipper Jones tweet. Just two teammates, and Cup Series winners, hanging out at the team meeting.

All is well that ends well, right? At this point, Chipper Jones has to come to the next Atlanta race and hang out with Austin Cindric and Joey Logano. Let’s complete this whole saga and get these three in the same room together, or at least at the race track.

Logano was upset with Cindric over a stage win. Now that he has an actual race win on the season, I think he can just forgive and forget about Talladega. Team Penske is really starting to take up spots in the NASCAR Playoffs. Counting Josh Berry as part of the group, Ryan Blaney is the only driver without a win over there.

Austin Cindric handled Joey Logano controversy the Penske way

Anyone who thought that Austin Cindric and Joey Logano were going to have a real, public feud was woefully misinformed. This is Team Penske. Cindric is the son of Tim Cindric, President of Team Penske. Logano embodies the entire style of the organization.

Roger Penske doesn’t do messy. He wants things clean, done by the book, and all of the outside noise can kick rocks. Not to mention, Logano didn’t say anything that other NASCAR drivers haven’t said before. This is more a product of having radio chatter readily available during races.

Logano went a little overboard. He probably shouldn’t have said all that he did. But it’s not a big deal. These are two adults and they know each other better than we know them. If they say they are good and are smiling in photos together, then they are good.
