Baker Mayfield trolls Peyton Manning by wearing Oklahoma hat on ManningCast

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield trolled Peyton Manning by wearing an Oklahoma Sooners hat during the ManningCast. Manning, a former Tennessee Volunteers star, asked Mayfield if they could not talk about the game between the two schools this past weekend.
“No, absolutely not,” Baker Mayfield said to Peyton Manning as he put on his Oklahoma hat. Manning and his brother, Eli Manning, began laughing as soon as Mayfield put on the hat. The good news for Peyton Manning is that Mayfield quickly took the hat off after trolling the two-time Super Bowl champion.
On Saturday, Oklahoma defeated Tennessee 33-27. It was essentially a playoff elimination game as both team came into the matchup wih 6-2 records.
Mayfield played for Oklahoma from 2014 to 2017 and was one of the best quarterbacks in the country. He won every major award in 2017, including the Heisman Trophy, after throwing for 4,627 yards and 43 touchdowns while leading the Sooners to an 11-2 record.

When his college career came to an end, Mayfield enter the NFL and was selected by the Cleveland Browns No. 1 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft. He spent four seasons in Cleveland before joining the Carolina Panthers and Los Angeles Rams in 2022.

Following the 2022 season, Mayfield signed a one-year contract with the Buccaneers and helped the team earn a 9-8 record and make the divisonal round of the playoffs. In 2024, Mayfield signed a three-year contract with Tampa and threw for 4,500 yards and 41 touchdowns. He has currently helped the Bucaneers have a 6-2 record through the team’s first eight games.
Manning was at Tennessee from 1994 to 1997 and became a college football legend. He missed out on winning the Heisman in 1997, but he won multiple individual awards, including the Maxwell Award and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award. In his final year with the Vols, Manning threw for 3,819 yards and 36 touchdowns.
The Indianapolis Colts selected Manning No. 1 overall in the 1998 NFL Draft. He spent 13 seasons in Indianapolis and four seasons with the Denver Broncos. Along with winning two Super Bowls, Manning won the MVP award five times and was selected to the Pro Bowl four times.
