One of college and professional sports’ favorite halftime acts was injured during a routine on Tuesday night. Red Panda was just getting warmed up at the start of her act when she took a tumble.

The acrobat was riding her elevated unicycle when she lost her balance and fell from the seat. She hit the floor hard, seeming to brace the fall with her left wrist.

She immediately clutched the wrist with her other hand, kneeling on the hardwood floor. Eventually, she was assisted off to one end of the floor.

When Red Panda reached the area underneath the baskets, she was placed into a wheelchair and helped off the floor. Fans at the Commissioner’s Cup matchup between the Indiana Fever and Minnesota Lynx in Minneapolis cheered as she exited, though the dour mood was clearly felt.

You can view a video of her fall below. Warning: The collision with the floor is hard.

Red Panda has become a favorite fan act across the country for her scintillating performances over the years. Her act combines acrobatics with a flair for the dramatic; she’ll often flip sets of bowls or cups from her head while riding the unicycle.

She displays a remarkable ability to balance and focus at the same time. Falls are a relative rarity, which made Tuesday night’s tumble so shocking.

Red Panda has been performing at major sporting events in the United States since 1993. She’s a frequent halftime performer at college basketball games around the country, much to the delight of fans.

In total, her performance typically lasts around five minutes. It’s been a good enough act to get her to some fun places.

In 2025, Red Panda performed on Britain’s Got Talent. She reached the semifinals on the show. She also appeared in the Netflix series Running Point.
