Could we see a spoiler tonight in the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship? Brandon Jones is on the pole at Phoenix ahead of the race. Jones has won at Phoenix in the past, and he’s hoping that he can steal a win away from these Championship 4 drivers.

Brandon Jones put down a great lap. Kansas and Phoenix are tracks where he is just on it in qualifying more times than not. Jones has really started to find his groove again at Joe Gibbs Racing.

Connor Zilisch, Jesse Love, Justin Allgaier, and Carson Kvapil don’t want to see Jones win. But which of the four will rise to the challenge and win this championship?

A little surprising that the Championship 4 were almost shut out of the first two rows. Connor Zilisch is the best in the group at P4. Justin Allgaier and Jesse Love are P5 and P6, respectively. Then, Carson Kvapil has work to do at P14.

Aric Almirola and Austin Hill are racing in the Owners’ Championship. So, those are two other drivers who will be fighting for the win today. The Owners’ is what pays out the money for the season, not the Drivers’ Championship.

Brandon Jones is more than capable of winning this race. So is Taylor Gray. I expect those two drivers to give our Championship 4 a real run for their money. Every non-playoff driver dreams of spoiling this race by winning it outright and fair.

Can Brandon Jones upset Championship 4?

We have seen Brandon Jones win twice this season. He has his tracks that he is really good at, and he truly excels at those races. Martinsville, Kansas, and Darlington are great examples. Those are tracks you know Jones can compete on and even win.

Phoenix is one of those tracks for Jones. It is somewhere he can hit the ground and just go. We saw that in qualifying, and we may see it in the race tonight as he attempts to be a spoiler for the Championship 4.

Connor Zilisch and Justin Allgaier have been the best drivers all season long. Everyone wants this championship fight to come down to those two. That is, unless you’re a fan of Jesse Love and Carson Kvapil. And how about these talented young drivers? Just unreal how good they are at such a young age.

The race tonight is going to crown a champion. But the champion doesn’t have to win the race. Brandon Jones is going to try to make it an even more stressful situation.
