Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, Jonquel Jones pose together at Met Gala wearing custom, designer outfits

Liberty big three, Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu and Jonquel Jones were together on the carpet at Monday’s Met Gala event in New York wearing custom, designer outfits alongside team owner Clara Wu Tsai. Their outfits are designed by Sergio Hudson, which honor this year’s exhibition, ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style’
The WNBA described it as a ‘nod to dandyism.’ You can take a look at the WNBA star’s outfits at the event below:
In the middle, Stewart was rocking an ivory pantsuit with a blazer and overcoat, topped with a matching brim hat. She stands out from the rest with the bright color, not to mention the prominent curl draping across her forehead.
Ionescu is on Stewart’s right. She’s wearing a white corset bralette under a black cropped blazer, which ties together her matching mermaid skirt. Jones, on the far left of the photo, went for a snake skin jacket — all black on the outside and a white shirt underneath to match her teammate. Her hair may be the biggest statement out of the trio, literally.
In the center of the photo between Jones and Stewart stands team owner Clara Wu Tsai. While all three of her star players rocked silver jewelry, the Liberty’s owner went with a glimmering emerald necklace and matching earrings. She appears powerful among some of the best the WNBA has to offer.

Once Monday’s event is over, however, the Liberty stars will be trading in the makeup and jewelry for their basketball shoes by the end of the week. New York begins its preseason at home against the Connecticut Sun, though it’s unclear how much the star trio will perform during the low-stakes exhibition.
After all, the trio were the catalyst for helping lead the Liberty to its first-ever WNBA Finals victory after falling in the championship series the year prior. New York defeated the Minnesota Lynx three games to two in the five-game series.
The Liberty’s regular season is set to begin on May 17 against the Las Vegas Aces in a rematch of the 2023 WNBA Finals. The season-opening matchup is set to air on ABC, ESPN+ and Disney+, allowing fans a multitude of way to view the matchup between two premier WNBA squads.
There will be no shortage of big-time Liberty matchups to start the season, too. They’ll play Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky in the second game of the season before heading to Indiana to take on Caitlin Clark and the Fever after that.
