Brock Bowers injury update: Pete Carroll provides positive update on Las Vegas Raiders tight end

After missing three games due to injury, Las Vegas Raiders star tight end Brock Bowers appears to be in line for a return. He’s targeting Nov. 2, after the team’s bye week.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter relayed that head coach Pete Carroll told reporters that both Brock Bowers and receiver Jakobi Meyers “should return” for the Nov. 2 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. That would give the team a huge boost.
Bowers has missed the last three games with a PCL injury. He was actually injured in the season opener.
After attempting to play through the injury for the next three weeks after the opener, Brock Bowers hit the shelf to heal for good. He had started the year off strong, hauling in five receptions for 103 yards in the opener.
But his production dipped after the injury, with Bowers totaling 14 receptions for 122 yards across the following three games. In his last appearance against the Chicago Bears, he had five catches for 46 yards in a 25-24 loss at Allegiant Stadium.
Prior to this weekend’s contest, the Las Vegas Raiders teased good news on Bowers. He was at practice in a limited capacity on Friday.

Raiders head coach Pete Carroll said Friday that Meyers got more work than Bowers did. However, he sounded optimistic the second-year tight end would be able to come back soon. Las Vegas is off this week.
“Both of them got work today,” Carroll told reporters. “Jakobi got more than Brock did. It looked like he bounced back pretty well. We’re very hopeful that he’ll be available. Brock got his first work out here in a while. … I watched him when he was working with the trainers and really going good. We’re really close on him.”
A former first-round pick out of Georgia, Brock Bowers had a tremendous rookie campaign. He set the NFL record for most receiving yardage by a rookie tight end, breaking Mike Ditka‘s mark by totaling 1,194 yards.
Bowers tallied 112 catches, posting four games with double-digit receptions. He also scored five times.
