Broncos TE Nate Adkins scores first career touchdown vs. Carolina Panthers

Denver Broncos (4-3) tight end Nate Adkins hauled in his first career NFL touchdown in Sunday’s Week 8 home contest against the Carolina Panthers (1-6).
Adkins was on the receiving end of a three-yard strike from quarterback Bo Nix to give Denver its first points of the game.
Adkins, signed as an undrafted free agent out of South Carolina last year, made the Broncos’ 53-man roster as a rookie and appeared in 10 games. He caught four passes for 22 yards and entered Sunday’s game with four receptions for 19 yards in seven games this season.

Nate Adkins continues South Carolina showcase in Denver
Up until Trautman’s one-handed touchdown grab, Empower Field at Mile High had served as a Gamecocks showcase. On the Panthers’ first offensive possession, rookie wideout Xavier Legette put six on the board, his third touchdown in 2024.
Adkins and Legette were teammates at South Carolina in 2022.
