Bubba Wallace explains what caused big wreck with Joey Logano at Texas, assigns blame

Today we got a “big one” at Texas. Bubba Wallace was involved, and a number of cars were collected in the aftermath. Wallace was having a strong run and likely a top-10 day if he could make it to the finish. The NASCAR driver didn’t get a chance.
Bubba Wallace has been doing a good job of stage racing this season. So, the DNF today isn’t going to matter a whole lot.
After leaving the infield care center, Wallace spoke to the media. He talked about who was at fault for the wreck.
“For sure,” Wallace said when asked if he takes the blame, via Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports. “No, I blame it on my team, it’s never the driver’s fault. The fans are going to have a field day with that one.”
When he was done with his sarcasm and jokes, Bubba Wallace took a more serious tone. He made a mistake, and he’s owning up to it.
“Yeah, it’s chaos when you come here to Texas,” Wallace said. “So, I just had a lapse. It doesn’t take much to get you off your rhythm, and I got bit by my own mistake.”
Bubba Wallace has an ease to him this season. He isn’t on edge all of the time. You can tell he doesn’t put the weight of the world on each race and the result. You don’t see him get too high or too low, and that has been all the difference this season.
Well, that, and his crew chief Charles Denike. This group has been racing differently this year under Denike, and it shows. A ton of stage points this season have been all of the difference in being a playoff contender and being a “must-win” team.

Bubba Wallace will move on to the next one
You know, it is hard to be too upset if you’re Bubba Wallace. This is the perfect time of the year for him to get a win and pick up a lot of points. Today he wrecked. However, with Kansas, Charlotte, Nashville, and Michigan in the next four points races, opportunity awaits.
Honestly, this summer stretch is going to be one of the most exciting of the season. There are a number of intermediate tracks with fun races like Mexico City and Chicago Street Race sprinkled in for a little variation.
Wallace sees his best chances to win on the intermediate tracks. Kansas and Nashville, in particular. 23XI Racing and Toyota as a whole are looking at these intermediate tracks as a path to victory and a ticket to the playoffs.
It’s a tough finish this week for Bubba Wallace. Next week, it all starts again. Will Bubba’s luck change as the summer approaches?
