Buffalo Bills sign former Dallas Cowboys backup quarterback Ben DiNucci

The Buffalo Bills are adding some more talent to the offensive side of the football. On Monday, The 33rd Team’s Ari Meirov revealed that the Bills are signing former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Ben DiNucci.
DiNucci, who was a seventh-round selection made by the Cowboys in the 2020 NFL Draft, spent the first two years of his NFL career in Dallas developing and backing up star quarterback Dak Prescott. Last season, the former Pittsburgh Panthers and James Madison Dukes quarterback spent time on the Denver Broncos practice squad. Unfortunately, he did not see the field in an NFL game last season. But prior to joining the Broncos, DiNucci did play in the XFL in 2023 and was the starting quarterback for the Seattle sea Dragons.
DiNucci joins the Bills roster with NFL regular-season experience. While with the Cowboys, he played in three games and earned one start, a 23-9 loss in the Cowboys’ Sunday night matchup against heated rival the Philadelphia Eagles. In that game, the Dallas offensive line did very little to protect their starting quarterback, resulting in four sacks and two fumbles lost by DiNucci.

Booth, 23, comes to Dallas after spending the first two years of his career in Minnesota, which selected him in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Clemson. He suited up in just six games during his rookie campaign, undergoing knee surgery that November. He rebounded to appear in all 17 games (one start) in 2023, tallying eight tackles (seven solo), and one pass defended. Buried on Minnesota’s depth chart, Booth gets a much-needed fresh start in Dallas.
Wright, 25, was the Cowboys’ third-round pick (99th overall) in 2021 out of Oregon State. He has suited up in 32 games (three starts) over the last three seasons, recording 37 tackles (27 solo), five passes defended and one interception. Wright is quality depth for Minnesota, owning a career 78.0 run defense grade, per Pro Football Focus.
