Following his second ARCA Menards Series win of the season, Butterbean Queen is heading back to Waffle House tonight! Butterbean and his mullet were front and center tonight at Kansas as he raced to the win in overtime.

Queen led the most laps tonight and held off challenges from Lawless Alan and William Sawalich in overtime. He was great on restarts and on the long runs. The short track racer now has wins at a superspeedway and an intermediate track.

Speaking to Amanda Busick after the race, Butterbean Queen gave another one of his signature rants. Like usual, it involved mullets and waffles.

“Pinnacle Racing Group, baby! Right here, [inaudible] has got the mullet on the helmet, and that baby was flapping in the wind tonight,” Queen said. “We haven’t had a waffle, and I let one get away at Phoenix. Of course, that’s going through my mind there at the end of this race, but at the same time, that’s what a race car driver lives for is an opportunity to redeem yourself. These guys worked so hard on this car, the only thing I can do is win and take them to Waffle House tonight.”

When asked to rate his performance, Butterbean Queen let himself get a little humble-brag in. He asked the question back after leading the most laps and taking down a Joe Gibbs Racing Xfinity Series driver in Sawalich.

“How was it? You know, Late Model guy in me is used to third to fourth [gear]. So, when we’re going through the whole H-pattern, going through the runs, Derek Kneeland up top does such a great job of coaching me and keeping me in the game.”

Kneeland is a good one to have on your side. For those who don’t know, Kneeland is the spotter for Kyle Busch in the Cup Series and Austin Hill in the Xfinity Series. He has a lot of experience to help guide Butterbean this season.

This season is only going to get better for Butterbean Queen. The short tracks are mostly in the second half of the season. He will end up thriving in those races. I’m not sure that there is another driver in the ARCA field that will be able to challenge Queen.

If it wasn’t for a late race restart at Phoenix with Brent Crews, Butterbean could very well have three wins. I’m sure he will have his third win soon enough, either way.
