Cade McDonald injury update: Browns receiver leaves game after dirty hit

Cleveland Browns rookie wide receiver Cade McDonald left Saturday’s preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams after taking a big hit to the head late in the fourth quarter. He however left the field on his own accord.
McDonald signed with the Browns as an UDFA this offseason.
The Naperville, IL native spent four seasons at Michigan State (2019-2022) before transferring to Miami (OH) for his last two seasons of college football (2023-24). In 45 career games, McDonald hauled in 85 receptions for 1,032 yards and six touchdowns.
McDonald is one of 11 wide receivers currently on the Cleveland Browns roster, but it is unlikely he will remain with the organization following roster cuts.
