Before having success in the NFL, Cam Newton and Sterling Sharpe made their mark in Georgia high school football. On3 recently attended the Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025 induction ceremony at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta on Saturday night, and both Newton and Sharpe were officially inducted into the class that has 33 members.

Cam Newton and Sterling Sharpe were not in attendance, as they had other commitments. However, Newton made a video message thanking the Hall of Fame committee for the honor, and Sharpe is planning to attend the ceremony next year to receive his blue jacket.

In Newton’s message, he said he was honored to be part of a class that includes notable college and NFL stars. “Being named an inductee for the class of 2025 is something special, and it’s definitely a full circle moment for me,” Newton said.

“When I look at names in this class, I’m reminded that the members on this list and how special they truly were. Some of these motivated me, and I competed against them. Names like Kirby Smart, Sterling Sharpe, Fabian Walker, Carlos Rogers, Josh Nesbitt, Greg Reid, Isaiah Crowell, just to name a few. This is a Georgia-made group of guys that are definite game changers in their respective ways.”
