Miami Hurricanes women’s basketball player Hanna Cavinder made headlines this weekend… by simply hanging out with Georgia quarterback Carson Beck.

The New York Post put out a tweet with a picture of Beck and Cavinder seeming to have their arms around one another, writing that the two athletes had stirred some “dating buzz” with their pictures.

Here’s the photo in question:

The actual article linked from the New York Post gives the following details:

“On Sunday, Hanna and Haley posted photos on Instagram during a trip to Paw Paw Lake in Michigan that featured Beck and Ferguson. One snap featured Hanna and Beck with their arms around each other and their fingers interlocked. Beck’s tattoos on his left leg and his right arm were on display, although he wasn’t tagged in the post.”

Well, it seems like Carson Beck was hanging out in Michigan with the Cavinder twins over the Holiday weekend.

The duo announced a year ago they were stepping away from Miami and college athletics. At the time, the NIL stars had become two of the biggest names in college athletics and helped the Hurricanes reach the Elite Eight.

Haley Cavinder entered the transfer portal in October, deciding to re-enter the college basketball world after making a very public decision to leave college basketball. She announced her transfer portal commitment to TCU in November. But after her sister also made the decision to return to college hoops, and pledged to head back to Miami, Haley Cavinder did the same.

The Cavinder Twins announced their first NIL deal with Boost Mobile in Times Square on the first day of college sports’ new era on July 1, 2021. From there, they’ve used their combined social media following of more than 5 million to sign with brands like Raising Cane’sVictoria’s Secret PINK and Champs Sports.

During their first stint at Miami, the twins continued to cash in on their NIL. The NCAA also came down with a recruiting violation against Miami in February regarding the Cavinders. According to the NCAA, the twins had dinner with booster John Ruiz during their recruitment process. Ruiz was not disassociated from the program, though. As one of the penalties, Miami coach Katie Meier sat out the first three games of the 2022-23 season. The twins were not sanctioned.
