Carson Beck ranked as the No. 16 quarterback recruit in the country coming out of Jacksonville (Florida) Mandarin High School in the 2020 class. During his senior season, he threw for 1,843 yards and 20 touchdowns, while adding six scores on the ground. Beck had to bide his time playing behind entrenched starters at Georgia. While he played sparingly in 2020, 2021 and 2022, Beck earned the starting nod for the Bulldogs entering the 2023 season. He was named SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in win over Kentucky, completing 28 of 35 passes for 389 yards and four TDs. “He’s a bright kid," Georgia coach Kirby Smart said. "He sees a lot of defense in the offseason and walk-throughs here. So, when you see a lot of defense and have been exposed to a lot of things, I think that gives him confidence. And he knows it’s not all on him. He’s got people around him to help him.”
