Carson Brown, Keelan Harvick on front row for South Carolina 400 at Florence Motor Speedway
A big late model race tonight with the South Carolina 400. Carson Brown and Keelan Harvick are on the front row for tonight. Brown recently signed a development deal with Richard Childress Racing. Harvick is only 13 years old. They are serious racecar drivers, though.
Rodney Childers is working with Keelan Harvick on the No. 62 Hunt Brothers Pizza Chevrolet. That’s a big help for Keelan as he takes on this challenging race at Florence.
As for Brown, he’s competing for Lee Pulliam Performance. That’s a huge opportunity for the young racer. If he goes on to win this race tonight, it will be a statement victory in his early career. The South Carolina 400 is a tough race. Brown will start the race on the pole. Harvick will line up P2.
These are two young racers who are very talented. We are going to see a fantastic race tonight. Well, that’s if you can see it. Last year it was great to watch the South Carolina 400 on FloRacing. This year, you have to subscribe to “Ultra Broadcasting” for $24.99. That is the only way you will be watching it, if you aren’t watching from the stands tonight.
Despite the lack of exposure that the race is likely to get, it should still be a great event. Austin Green is racing in this event. He is the son of David Green, former NASCAR driver. Austin won his first ARCA race earlier this year and is a real talent on the road courses. Carson Kvapil will be in the field. A few NASCAR names for fans to keep an eye on, for sure.

South Carolina 400 big test for newest RCR driver
The South Carolina 400 is a big deal. This is one of the biggest races of the year. While the field doesn’t boast names like Dale Earnhardt Jr. and a few others, it is still a tough event with a lot on the line.
For Carson Brown, it is a chance to prove himself. When he was announced as RCR’s newest development driver, a lot of fans were unsure. Most of it is due to him being a relative unknown. Not everyone follows ASA Stars National Tour or Trans Am TA2 or Dirt Super Late Model racing. I wish they did, but they don’t.
The South Carolina 400 will be Brown’s first chance since the RCR news broke to prove himself to NASCAR fans. He has a versatile racing background. He’s won in ASA, TA2, and of course, on dirt in his Super Late Model.
Winning the South Carolina 400 would be major for Brown. It would be his biggest win ever and should be celebrated as such. He shouldn’t have to prove himself, but he very well could tonight.
