Carson Hocevar airs out frustration with future teammate Daniel Suárez at Martinsville

Perhaps not the best way to start off a new partnership. Carson Hocevar is frustrated with Daniel Suárez after an incident at Martinsville. There has been a lot of contact, pushing, beating, and banging. Hocevar felt like his future NASCAR teammate did too much.
A caution came out as Carson Hocevar found himself getting spun out on Lap 216. It was not what Hocevar was hoping for in a race where he was simply trying to keep up pace on the lead lap.
Hocevar keyed up on his radio and gave a simple but effective message, “F**k him.” That’s about the easiest to understand message you will hear on a NASCAR radio.
Martinsville is a track where tempers flare. While there are words said on the radio and things like that, it’s usually just talk. Let’s be honest, this is far from the worst thing a driver has said about another driver on the radio.
Carson Hocevar is far from innocent in these incidents. He has earned himself a reputation and, in many ways, doesn’t have the same benefit of the doubt that other drivers have.
Yes, these two are going ot be future teammates. Yes, this incident was unfortunate and isn’t going to make either driver very happy. No, this isn’t going to be a big deal when these two are at Spire Motorsports together next season. After all, Suárez got into a literal fist fight with Michael McDowell, and those two appear to be fine now.

Carson Hocevar hoping to finish 2025 strong
It is becoming obvious that Carson Hocevar will likely not win a race this season. He came so close earlier this year at Atlanta and has had some truly great runs in his second season in the Cup Series.
Right now, Hocevar is multiple laps down. That spin has not helped him at all. Next week at Phoenix, it’s hard to imagine he would be able to beat the Championship 4 drivers at Phoenix. Still, you never know until the cars are on the track and racing.
Today, Hocevar has to do the best he can to learn. He’s fallen pretty far in the running order. So, pick up the pieces, make the most of the situation, and figure out if you can actually improve before leaving Martinsville.
This is definitely not the day that Carson Hocevar wanted. It is the one he will have to deal with and find a way to squeeze any kind of positivity out of it.
