Carson Hocevar reacts to Ricky Stenhouse Jr. threat after Mexico City race

Things did not go well today for Carson Hocevar in Mexico City. He has rekindled that feud with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. after the race. The thing is, the ashes were still hot, and it didn’t take much to get these two NASCAR rivals in each other’s faces again.
Late in the race, Carson Hocevar was a lap down. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was trying to salvage a top-25 finish after a rough day on the track. In the stadium section, Hocevar slid through the turn and went right into the back of Stenhouse, spinning the 47.
After the race, Stenhouse vowed to fight Hocevar when they got back to the states. It seems that there is no apology or text message that is going to fix it this time around.
Following the finish today, Hocevar spoke to the media about Stenhouse getting in his car and yelling at him. Here is what he said, via Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports.
“I mean, I didn’t really hear him, but I know he was very mad, and I was very apologetic. I just got left and in the marbles and slid a lot longer than I expected,” Hocevar explained. “So, obviously, number one, not somebody I would ever want to hit again, but number two, yeah, I wasn’t racing or anything, I was just logging laps. Just trying to wait on a yellow, maybe see if we could put our day back together, but yeah, I just hit a curb wrong and got into the marbles. Slid all the way through the corner. Tried to turn left and avoid him, but just really, really sloppy day by me, and then that was another incident of the day. So, that was really sloppy.”

Carson Hocevar finished P34 today. Ricky Stenhouse finished P27. Not a day either wants to write home about.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. vows to fight Carson Hocevar
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. went to Carson Hocevar’s car after the finish. He told the 22 year old that “I’m going to beat your ass!” alluding to when the drivers get back to the United States. This rivalry is not going to end any time soon.
Stenhouse warned Hocevar that he will get physical with him at Pocono. With how good the Spire driver has been on the intermediate, high-speed tracks this year, Stenhouse might have to try and catch him out of the car to get his revenge.
It sounds like that is exactly what Stenhouse intends to do. Warning received. Carson Hocevar should watch his back at the Tricky Triangle.
