What a night for the Kvapil family! Caden Kvapil beats out his older brother, Carson, for the win in the South Carolina 400. The 2003 NASCAR Truck Series champion, Travis Kvapil, is one happy dad this Monday morning. He saw his sons go 1-2 at Florence.

The South Carolina 400 didn’t have as much pomp and circumstance as in prior years. The race was moved from FloRacing to the new UltraBroadcasting site. But the racing was just as good and intense as it ever was.

Caden Kvapil raced the No. 8 JR Motorsports Chevy to the win. His brother, NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series driver, Carson Kvapil, finished P2 for GoFAS Racing. What a win, what a moment for the Kvapil family, and a great night of Late Model Stock racing.

In the 2026 CARS Tour season, Caden Kvapil is stepping up to the No. 8 car full-time. Caden is only 18 years old and has won his first South Carolina 400. Kvapil has won at the Late Model Stock level in the CARS Tour before. This season, he won the season finale at North Wilkesboro. Of course, he’s the 2023 Pro Late Model champion in the series.

Keelan Harvick was involved in a wreck during the race. He was able to recover and finish in the top-five before the end of the night after starting P2. Carson Brown, pole-sitter and RCR development driver, finished P12 after some trouble on the track.

As for Carson Kvapil, the 22-year-old is preparing for another year in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. Carson is suiting up for JR Motorsports next season in a deal that will have him racing multiple cars.

Carson and Caden Kvapil – future NASCAR brother duo?

Travis Kvapil is a Truck Series champion. Carson Kvapil is a multi-time champion in the CARS Tour and one of the bright young prospects in NASCAR today. Is Caden Kvapil next up on the list? It sure seems that way after last night.

Being in the JRM pipeline is a huge plus for Caden. He is following the same path that his brother took just a few years ago. Carson was 18 when he won the Super Late Model championship, at the time, the secondary CARS Tour series before Pro Late Models replaced it. Caden has already won a Pro Late Model championship.

Then, as a 19 and 20-year-old, Carson won the Late Model Stock championship in back-to-back years. With Travis Kvapil helping to guide his sons on their journey to NASCAR, they are well-positioned to find a lot of success in racing.

Caden Kvapil just got one over on Carson. How far can he take this No. 8 JRM team in the 2026 CARS Tour season?
