Usually, a new sponsor for a team and driver is a thing to celebrate. Is that the case this time around with Chase Briscoe? While Joe Gibbs Racing and Briscoe celebrate a new partnership, NASCAR fans are a little concerned about it.

Last season, Chase Briscoe raced the entire year with Bass Pro Shops sponsorship. That is not going to be the case next season. Now, we are seeing another sponsor coming on board for Briscoe in a primary paint scheme.

Columbia Bank will be on the No. 19 car for three races in 2026. COTA, Sonoma, and Phoenix will all feature the blue and white paint scheme of Columbia Bank. Joe Gibbs Racing is excited about the deal.

So, what’s the issue? Many fans online, especially in Instagram replies, have lamented the fact that Chase Briscoe won’t have one sponsor for the entire season. At this point, the only drivers who have full-season sponsorships are guys like Kyle Larson and Alex Bowman and…well, that’s about it, folks.

Look, I get the concern. But for 33 races, Briscoe is set to have Bass Pro Shops on the car. Bass Pro Shops is not going anywhere. They will still be sponsoring drivers and races in the sport. As for Briscoe, it could mean the price for his services have gone up since making the Championship 4 and winning three races in 2025.

Chase Briscoe is ready for superstar status in NASCAR

While he seems like a quiet and humble racer from Indiana, Chase Briscoe is a killer behind the wheel. He has shown that everyone was right about his potential. We saw him win a ton of races in the O’Reilly Series before going to Cup on the sinking ship that was Stewart-Haas Racing.

Briscoe is an old-school driver. He has an accent, he’s not clean-shaven most of the time, and if you didn’t see him in his firesuit, you may not even know that he’s a racecar driver. But when he’s on the track, Briscoe is one of the most skilled and competitive drivers in the field. For NASCAR fans looking to cheer for a “grassroots” kind of racer, Brisoe feels like the obvious answer.

What makes a driver a superstar in NASCAR? Winning. Based on the 2025 season, the wins are going to keep coming. Pair that with an iconic sponsor like Bass Pro Shops and a historic team like Joe Gibbs Racing, and the potential is there.

For those NASCAR fans who are still searching after losing Kevin Harvick and Martin Truex Jr. to retirement, Chase Briscoe is their spiritual successor. Keep your eyes open, you’re about to see Briscoe shirts and hats at the track a lot more in 2026.
