Chase Briscoe, wife Marissa, announce birth of twin babies

Chase Briscoe and his wife, Marissa, announced the birth of twin babies in an X post on Wednesday.

Cooper Banks Briscoe and Collins Ivy Briscoe came into the world Tuesday.

The Briscoe household is now five deep, as Marissa previously gave birth to their son, Brooks, in October 2021.

“They are here! Mama and babies are healthy,” Marissa wrote in an Instagram post. “Thank you Jesus!”

Briscoe had been on baby watch over the last couple weeks, with soon to be team owner Joe Gibbs offering him rides on the JGR plane if he needed it.

Chase Briscoe championship hopes on the line at Charlotte Roval

Briscoe will soon make his way to Charlotte Motor Speedway for this Sunday’s Round of 12 finale. The Stewart-Haas Racing ace has a lot of work to do to advance to the Round of 8, and by lot of work, Briscoe, barring a miracle, essentially needs to find his way to Victory Lane at the Charlotte Roval.

Briscoe, 32 points below the cutline, can race his way in on points, but he’ll have to outduel his 11 competitors and rack up as many stage points as possible. Briscoe’s best finish at the Roval is a P9 result in 2022. He finished 28th last season.

“It’s going to be chaos at the Roval, but there’s always chaos here,” Briscoe said, via WBIW.com. “The new layout should create more passing opportunities, and the tighter sections will definitely make restarts interesting.”

Briscoe is in a near must-win predicament following a P24 finish at Kansas and a disappointing 30th-place finish at Talladega this past Sunday. He was one of a record 28 drivers involved in the “Big One” with five laps remaining. Briscoe received a tow back to pit road and was allowed to finish the race after making minimal repairs.
