In NASCAR, you see some of the wildest fans around. Chase Elliott fans might take the cake, and this one in particular. An Elliott fan decided that he wanted his very own si-reen to use whenever his favorite driver wins. So, he made one.

Not only did Christopher Downs make his own si-reen, he brought it to Loudon for the race weekend. On top of that, he decided to test it out in the campgrounds in the middle of the night. So, if you were camping last night and were awoken to what you believed was a Chase Elliott win, you know who to blame.

If you can’t be in Dawsonville for the real thing, you might as well make one yourself. This one is a bit newer than the one at the Pool Room, though. The fan showed it off to Jeff Gluck of The Athletic who posted it online.

Chase Elliott could use a little extra help this weekend. He was the worst among the playoff drivers in qualifying. He will now have to race his way through the field. That is easier said than done at New Hampshire in the Next Gen era.

Perhaps a little bit of si-reen last night was just what Elliott and his team needed. At this point, something has to give. The No. 9 team has been mediocre, and that will not cut it moving forward in these NASCAR Playoffs.

Chase Elliott needs a boost at New Hampshire

Starting alllllll the way back in P27, Chase Elliott is oging to have a rough day today. Even if he manages to grab a great finish, he will likely still be in a precarious position when it comes to points.

Drivers like Tyler Reddick, Ross Chastain, and Bubba Wallace are going to use this opportunity to pick up early stage points. That will let them separate themselves from the close points battle on the bubble.

Truthfully, it looks like a Team Penske kind of day. Joey Logano and Ryan Blaney were both fast as hell in qualifying and took the front row. Josh Berry is right behind them. Austin Cindric was up there before getting loose in his qualifying effort.

What can Chase Elliott do at this point? The only thing he can do is put his head down and try to do his best to race to the front. If he can manage to stay clean all race, he might have a shot at salvaging the weekend.
