Chase Purdy unveils Realtree, Ole Miss football-themed NASCAR helmet

NASCAR has had some awesome cross-overs with other sports in recent years, but Chase Purdy plans to debut a new Ole Miss-themed helmet that is sure to turn some heads.
Purdy took to Twitter to show off the new helmet scheme, which essentially looks like one of the lids the Rebels might wear on the gridiron. Check it out below.
It’s a sleek look and a way for Chase Purdy to show off his allegiance. After a hiatus from racing for a bit, Purdy enrolled at Ole Miss and began taking classes as a finance major.
He eventually found his way back to the racetrack, but not before his love of the Rebels was cemented. Now he’ll be showing that off on the track.
Chase Purdy races in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, where he currently sits at No. 15 in the standings. He has recorded one top-five finish this season, while securing five top-10 results.

Kevin Harvick picks Cup Series winner this week
While Chase Purdy will compete in the Truck Series this week, all eyes will be on the Cup Series race and the playoffs. Kevin Harvick recently made his pick for a winner.
Just six races remain in the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs, and next up on the schedule is a racetrack which promises to be the most unpredictable of them all: Talladega.
For 188 laps and 500 miles, drivers will strategically work their way through a treacherous Talladega and of course, do everything they can to avoid the inevitable “Big One.” At the end, a winner will be crowned. Kevin Harvick believes the driver that will be headed to Victory Lane Sunday afternoon is Ryan Blaney, he said on Tuesday’s “Happy Hour” podcast.
“It’s so wide open,” Harvick said. “I think this week was a great example of what I thought was a dead William Byron to a revived William Byron. So, I’m gonna go with [Ryan] Blaney.”
