Chili Bowl racer reveals he set up Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift

In the most surprising news of the week, Danny Frye III, a dirt racer from Oklahoma, set up Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Frye, also known by DF3, was at the Chili Bowl in Tulsa this past weekend. He is not only the Cupid in this story, he’s Swift’s cousin!

If you want to know how the Chili Bowl and the NFL are connected, well, it’s Frye. As Taylor Swift’s second cousin, he is apparently the one responsible for the Travis Kelce matchup. It is the hottest sports story of the year and it’s all thanks to a dirt racer.

Frye spoke with FloRacing about his relationship with Swift and how close they are in real life. He’s even been to a few Chiefs games with Taylor this season.

“We grew up together, her family grew up, she grew up right outside of Philadelphia up until about high school. Then moved to Nashville and obviously, has been doing alright since moving there.”

Now, Frye gets to be in the middle of the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce hoopla.

“I’ve been going to a few Chiefs games, been having uh, you know, made a love connection between her and Travis Kelce. So, yeah I guess it’s been quite the 34 years we’ve had together.”

In case you were wondering if Frye has any plans to get his cousin to the Chili Bowl or another dirt race? Well, he’s tried.

“I’ve been trying, she’s not the biggest racing fan.”

I think she could learn to like it, if she tried.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce make it to motorsports

The Taylor and Travis parade is officially tied into motorsports. While it is Midget racing on the dirt that she is connected to with family, I’m sure NSCAR could invite her to a race or two this season.

With NASCAR going to Kansas twice a year, why can’t Swift and Kelce come on down to take in some racing action? Everywhere you look now, the two of them are there and I don’t think that is going to stop any time soon.

It really goes to show, the world is a small place. While everyone likely thought the two celebrities met at some fancy soiree, it was the humble dirt racer Danny Frye who made it happen.
