Former Oregon star Chris Boucher has made a name for himself as one of the better dunkers in the NBA the past few years. On Thursday night, the electrifying athlete made a play that you rarely see in any basketball game. Against the New Orleans Pelicans, Boucher took off from just inside the foul line, for one of the most spectacular in-game dunks you’ll ever see.

What a play from Boucher. While he didn’t dunk it quite from the foul line, that’s still mind-boggling that he was able to take off from that far out, and still dunk the ball. That’s simply world-class ability right there.
This season, he’s been averaging 9.8 points and 5.8 rebounds for the Raptors. On Thursday night, he scored nine points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out one assist.
Some of the best numbers of Boucher’s career with the Raptors came during the 2020-2021 season, when he averaged 13.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
Chris Boucher wrapped up a prolific college career
Even though he suffered a torn ACL (left knee) in the Pac-12 Tournament semifinals against California, Boucher finished his career with Oregon as the school’s second all-time leading shot blocker (189 blocks). He earned Pac-12 all-defensive team honors in 2017, after averaging 2.6 blocks per game. The 79 blocked shots he recorded that year ranked fourth in Oregon basketball history. Boucher had six games where he blocked five shots or more that season.
During his junior season in 2015-2016, he started in 35 of 38 games, racking up a Pac-12 leading total of 110 blocks. Not only that, Boucher became the only player in Pac-12 history with 100 blocks and 35 three-pointers in the same season. He also became only the third player to accomplish the feat in Division I since 1996-1997.
