Chris Buescher to make Truck Series debut in ThorSport No. 66 at Watkins Glen

How about this?! For the first time in his NASCAR career, Chris Buescher is going Craftsman Truck Series racing. He will suit up for ThorSport Racing in the No. 66 Ford F-150 at Watkins Glen. It’s going to be a huge weekend.
Chris Buescher has never made a Truck Series start. But he is going to be in the mix on Friday evening at The Glen.
It looks like the Truck Series field is going to be stacked. It will be an action-packed weekend from Friday to Sunday. As Buescher pointed out on his X/Twitter page, this is his first double-duty weekend since Watkins Glen in 2015.
That was all the way back when he was full-time in the Xfinity Series and was making a rare Cup Series start on top of that.
“Watkins Glen has been a special place for me, especially after last year’s win, so I’m really looking forward to getting back there. It’s a great place for me to make my first-ever Truck Series start, and I’m thankful for Duke, Rhonda, and Allison Thorson for giving me the opportunity to do so,” Buescher said in a press release.
The Truck Series race is going to have a ton of talent in it. It appears double and even triple duty could be a popular choice among many drivers this weekend.

Chris Buescher joining growing list of drivers in Truck Series race
The Watkins Glen Truck Series race might just be the most competitive event of the weekend. On top of your usual Truck Series superstars like Corey Heim, Chandler Smith, and Layne Riggs we will have a handful of talents from other series.
Rumor has it that Connor Zilisch is going to race in the Truck Series. We know talented teen, Brent Crews, is racing in his first event for his own team. Throw Buescher in that mix, and we are sure to have a thrilling race on Friday.
In the Cup Series, Buescher is one of the most consistent road course racers. He won the Watkins Glen race a year ago over Shane van Gisbergen in one of the most thrilling finishes ever at the race track.
Will Chris Buescher fend off the others in the Truck Series to get the win? Or will we see one of the young regulars step up and take down the Cup Series talent?
