The Green Bay Packers are keeping a close eye on wide receiver Christian Watson, who is dealing with multiple injuries. In the Packers’ Thursday practice report for the Week 11 game against the New York Giants, Watson was added as a limited participant due to an injured knee and hamstring.

Despite being added to the practice report, Christian Watson expects to play on Sunday. Per Rob Demovsky of ESPN, when Watson was asked if he was playing against the Giants, he said, “Oh yeah.”

“I like being just football sore and not ACL and knee sore, so it’s been fun for me to get back to regular football, and I’ve been enjoying it,” Watson stated. “It’s just good to be back out there.”

Watson has played in three games this year and has caught eight passes for 188 yards. The 26-year-old is continuing to work his way back after tearing his ACL in the 2024 regular-season finale. Watson officially returned on Oct. 26 when the Packers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 35-25.

Christian Watson reacts to signing a contract extension this year

The Packers selected Watson in the second round of the 2022 draft. In 41 career games with 38 starts, the former North Dakota State star has caught 106 passes for 1,841 yards and 14 touchdowns. At the start of the 2025 season, the Packers signed Watson to a one-year, $11 million contract extension.

“The gist of the deal really was what it was: It’s to take a little bit of pressure off myself to feel like I have to do more than I should be doing to get back, and once I got back … being as smart with it, trying to go out there and just not do too much,” Watson said at the time, per ESPN. “So for me, it was really just to take that pressure off myself, so I can kind of just go out there when I get back and just play free. It’s definitely a blessing.”

Watson was one of the 12 Packers players listed on the practice report. Another notable player listed was DL Micah Parsons, who has been limited in practice due to a pectoral injury. Green Bay (5-3-1) is looking to get back on track against the Giants after losing its last two games.
