Ciara is ready for the FIFA World Cup 2026, as she surprised youth soccer teams at a special event in Atlanta on Saturday. On Location, the official hospitality provider of the World Cup, provided a sneak peek into their World Cup hospitality for next summer with “The Treatment” at Piedmont Park. On3 attended the event that included Ciara being the captain for the two soccer teams from the Rush Union Youth League.

“I have to tell you guys, I’m so, so pumped,” Ciara told the crowd before the two teams competed in a match. “I am so proud to be standing amongst these beautiful, talented young ladies. Let’s go. When I heard about this opportunity, I was beyond to watch the girls have a match, because that’s really magical, and great things happen when us girls get out and do our thing.”

Ciara wasn’t the only notable figure in attendance. There were also appearances by  travel content creator Annie Wanyi Jiang, soccer clothing brand and culture content creators Kitboys Club, travel and soccer content creator Katlyn Stevens, food content creator Lindsey Eaton, food content creators Adam and Cole McCabe. Along with the match, “The Treatment” provided  premium food and beverage to players and guests as well as luxury seating.

More on Ciara and the World Cup

On Location held the event in Atlanta because it is one of the cities that will host World Cup matches next year. The World Cup will be held in multiple cities in North America, and Atlanta will have multiple matches, including a semifinal match on July 15, 2026. All the World Cup matches in Atlanta will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Ciara was the perfect person to have headline the event since she’s an Atlanta native. Living in multiple places when she was younger, Ciara graduated from Riverdale High School in Riverdale, Georgia. The 39-year-old singer is known for songs such as “Goodies,” “1,2, Step,” “Oh,” and “How We Roll.” Ciara has also appeared in several movies, including the 2023 film The Color Purple. She is married to New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson.
