Prior to the bye, Colorado picked up a huge victory over Iowa State in Boulder. The Buffaloes came away with the 24-17 victory, thanks in large part to a strong day from Kaidon Salter. He completed 16 of 25 passes for 255 yards and two touchdowns while adding 57 rushing yards on the ground, as well.
Joseph Williams emerged as the leading receiver in the game. He hauled in eight receptions for 128 yards and a touchdown to help lead the charge.
Afterward, the fans stormed the field, though the Big 12 later rescinded the $50,000 fine under its field-storming policy. The moment stood out to Coach Prime, who praised the Colorado faithful for celebrating accordingly, but also doing so the right way.

“I love it,” Sanders said of fans storming the field. “I love it as long as we control our, you know, we don’t want to do nothing stupid. I mean, I think we got the field goal thing that lets down. Now, what you gonna do with a field goal when you tear it down anyway … Put it in your front yard of your frat house? You know, then you telling on yourself. I don’t understand that, but I love it.
“I want to see the kids rush the field. I absolutely love it. I mean, hats off to our security team. They do a good job ushering me in. But I love to see it. I really do.”
