A bit of a surprise entry for Corey Heim in the No. 67 car. He will be lining up for the Bristol Night Race this Saturday. Heim has made three starts and four attempts to start this season. He failed to qualify for the Chicago Street Race. He won’t have that issue this week.

Corey Heim and Bootie Barker are back together in the Cup Series, according to the early entry list in the NASCAR Roster Portal. Bristol is going to be one of the most difficult races of Heim’s career. We have seen him dominate the Truck Series this season. A double-duty weekend for the 23XI development driver.

Earlier this season, Heim raced double-duty at Bristol in Truck and Xfinity action. He was P3 in his full-time ride and P8 with Sam Hunt. Could he have success at the Cup level at the Last Great Colosseum?

Earlier this season at Kansas, Corey Heim finished P13. He was running well at Nashville before wrecking out of the race. Richmond was more of a struggle for the driver as he finished P29.

The main focus for Heim is on the Truck Series championship. He can’t falter now. He could also win his fourth race in a row, separating himself further from the rest of the field.

The 23XI Racing team has kept it moving. Even with the NASCAR lawsuit, this fourth car has made a few starts in 2025. Right now, 23XI Racing has been showing good speed in the playoffs. Will we see Heim get a surprisingly good finish in the Night Race?

Corey Heim on historic run in Truck Series

In the last five races, Corey Heim has won four races and finished P3 in the other. The one thing you could say about Heim, as far as any shortcomings in his driving, is that his short-track skills need work.

Now, he did win at Richmond a few weeks ago. But there is a bit of a pattern with Heim just coming up short on the short tracks. That includes Phoenix in the championship race.

Eight wins this season, and Heim has a massive points buffer in the Truck Series Playoffs. Of course, his last win at Darlington advanced him to the Round of 8. So for now, it’s cruise control. That might free him up enough to really race at Bristol and get the win. However, Layne Riggs, Daniel Hemric, Chandler Smith, and others will be fighting for the win.

Corey Heim is more or less racking up wins at this point. With his ticket to the next round already secured, it’s more or less trying to get a high score for this 11 team. How many more wins can Heim get before the season is over?
