Corey Heim outclasses Ross Chastain, Kyle Busch to win Truck Series race at Charlotte

What more can you say about Corey Heim that hasn’t already been said when it comes to NASCAR Truck Series action? Tonight, he embarrassed the field in his No. 11 Tricon Garage Toyota Tundra. Not even Ross Chastain and Kyle Busch could keep up.
Four wins on the season, this is his seventh time leading the most laps in a race this season. He has led more than 700 laps in 2025 through these first 11 races. That is the most laps led in the first 11 races of a Truck Series season ever.
His pit stops during the stage breaks weren’t the best. Kaden Honeycutt took the lead from him on pit road a couple of times. On the track, Heim was untouchable. Swept the stages and walked away with the win.
Last week at North Wilkesboro, Corey Heim wasn’t able to get the win. He had Layne Riggs in his side, taking his win away from him on the last lap. Tonight, he was flawless. This truck was on a rail and Heim wasn’t going to let it go.
23XI Racing has Heim signed to a development deal. Riley Herbst is currently in the No. 35 car, mostly recording laps each week and not much else. It would be shocking and borderline negligent if 23XI doesn’t bring Heim to the Cup Series in 2026.
When you see a 22-year-old put on a performance like this tonight against Cup talent, it is impressive. Heim has shown time and time again that he is ready for Sundays. His P13 finish at Kansas was just another example of his talent.

No late-race theatrics, no mishaps, and all Corey Heim. A class of his own tonight in Charlotte.
Corey Heim subtly throws jab at Layne Riggs post-race
Racers don’t forget very easily. That is probably why Corey Heim remembered to take time to throw a subtle jab at Layne Riggs while he was soaking in the win tonight. It was the first thing he said to Todd Bodine after getting out of the truck.
“Honestly, just nice to be far enough away to where someone can’t clean me out, to be honest with you. … I feel like we’ve had the speed the last couple of years here, just circumstantial, haven’t been able to get it done,” Heim said to Todd Bodine after the race.
“Obviously, just such a good truck. Had to execute on my part, the pit crew did a great job. Just a really nice, clean day. Pumped up about this one, felt like we gave a couple away the last two weeks, but redeemed ourselves tonight.”
Corey Heim has dominated seven races this year. He has led the most laps in seven of the first 11 races of the year, including three of his four wins. Homestead, his truck was shutting off late. At Martinsville, late-race foolishness took him out. At Rockingham, he ran out of fuel and had to pit. Last week at North Wilkesboro, Riggs happened. Tonight, Heim coasted to a six-second win. The largest margin of victory ever for a Truck Series race at Charlotte.
