Corey LaJoie: ‘It pisses me off’ Kyle Busch called me a liar, promised payback

This week, Kyle Busch went on “The Pat McAfee Show” and let his grievances air out against Corey LaJoie from their Pocono run-in. These two NASCAR drivers are not seeing eye-to-eye right now.
Kyle Busch went on with Pat McAfee and told his side of the story. He does not want to talk or text LaJoie because he believes he’s a liar. To him, LaJoie changed his story too many times between the wreck and Indianapolis weekend.
Corey LaJoie spoke to Jeff Gluck of The Athletic about those comments. He did not appreciate being called a liar.
“He should at least answer a text or a phone call after I’ve tried to tell him my story,” LaJoie told Gluck. “I understand he has every right to be mad, but for him to go on the biggest talk show in the country and call me a liar, it pisses me off.”
When Corey LaJoie got out of his car at Pocono, he felt Kyle Busch blocked him twice. He hadn’t seen the replay up close, and was firing off with emotion.
Corey LaJoie defends himself against Kyle Busch comments
Last week, LaJoie did have some somewhat spicy comments after the race. He seemed annoyed by the questions, which he was asked a few times postrace. So, I get it. But still, he wasn’t exactly apologetic.

“I had a run, I got to the left rear, he blocked it twice, and the second time it spun his ass out,” LaJoie said after Pocono.
The Spire Motorsports driver still insists he did nothing intentional. That is all that matters, in his mind.
“The moral of the story at Pocono was I crashed him bigger than s—, but it wasn’t intentional,” LaJoie said to Jeff Gluck. “The original story that I saw out of the windshield and was told from (crew chief Ryan) Sparks was my perception. After I got a chance to look at the replay and saw the in-car cameras, I saw what happened — but it never was intentional in the first place and that remains the case.
“So for him to say I changed my story ‘four times’ and I’m a liar pisses me off.”
If Busch does wreck LaJoie? Well, he’ll handle it when and if that happens.
“We’re big boys, and I’ve stacked enough pennies to where if we had to fight and punch people in the face and it cost me 75 grand after whatever goes down, that’s what we’ll do,” LaJoie explained.
This is going to likely escalate before it ends, folks.
