Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons back to full-go after wearing club cast versus Titans

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons told reporters on Wednesday that he plans to be full-go on Sunday versus Washington after wearing club-like protection on his hand against Tennessee last Thursday. He did not appear on the injury report for Wednesday’s practice after multiple appearances last week.
“Going to be full go; no club,” Parsons said.
Prior to the 27-13 victory on Thursday Night Football, sideline reporter Kristi Scales revealed that the former first-rounder’s injury was a laceration, not something more serious, such as a fracture. Although the linebacker would not share how he got the gash, he did say it wasn’t from cooking.
“I’m a pretty good cook,” Parsons said.
Last week, the second-year Cowboys star practiced in a limited capacity leading up to game day. The inactives list revealed that Parsons would play and though limited, his impact was still significant. He tallied a tackle, two QB hits and, despite the club on one hand, a fumble recovery as well.
Thursday night’s game was only the second time this season that Parsons had just one tackle in a game. Through Week 17, he’s totaled 63 tackles (42 solo) with 13 sacks, three forced fumbles and three recoveries

“It was pretty challenging,” Parsons admitted.
Parsons sizes up rookie QB Sam Howell
On Sunday, Parsons and the Cowboys defense will be going up against a Commanders offense led by rookie quarterback Sam Howell. The former UNC star and fifth-round draft pick has yet to throw a pass in an NFL game.
“Obviously, we don’t have a lot of looks on (Howell),” Parsons said on Wednesday. “Watching him when he was at North Carolina, being in the same draft class, I understand he has great arm talent and deep ball. He and Dyami Brown already have a connection (from their time at UNC). That’s something to look out for. I thought he was a pretty good quarterback coming out and that he would go a lot earlier than expected.”
Kickoff between the Cowboys and Commanders is at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday, the same time as the Philadelphia Eagles versus New York Giants game. If the Eagles lose and the Cowboys win, Dallas owns the tiebreaker, which would give them the NFC East title and home field advantage for the first round of the playoffs.
