Since the NASCAR Cup Series started racing at Nashville Superspeedway in 2021, Ally has been the entitlement partner. No longer. Starting this year, Cracker Barrel is the new sponsor for this exciting summer race.

Nashville Superspeedway has been a really strong addition to the Cup Series schedule. The Next Gen car is so good on these intermediate ovals, and Nashville is no different.

Today, at Gibson Garage in Nashville, NASCAR driver Josh Berry and FOX analyst Michael Waltrip will help make the announcement official. This is a rather major announcement considering how strong Ally’s presence has been the last few years.

Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports broke the news a bit early this morning. More to come later.

So, Ally is no longer the title sponsor of this race. That could mean one of two things: Either they decided to step away, or they were beat out by Cracker Barrel. It would be much better for the sport if this was the result of a bidding war over the Nashville NASCAR Cup Series race, but I’m not so sure about that.

I’m sure that Ally not being involved as a race entitlement partner this year will make the Alex Bowman rumor mill start up again. At this point, folks need to just put those rumors to bed until actual smoke shows up around that 48 team.

A new race entitlement partner is going to give Nashville Superspeedway a makeover. The Ally purple plum color will be gone, and in its place will be the brown and yellow/orange of Cracker Barrel. It will be interesting to see what kind of activations the company has.

Last year, Joey Logano won in a 5OT slog. It was a messy race, but honestly, a very memorable one. It was also foreshadowing for what we were going to see later in the year. Logano might as well be Richard Petty if the race comes down to saving fuel.

This year, we will have the race a little earlier in the season. From the end of June in 2024 to the end of May and beginning of June this year. Could that change the way this race plays out? Eh, probably not. But it might be a little more bearable for fans watching at the track if the weather isn’t as hot in late May.

There is a lot more racing between now and Nashville for NASCAR. The race at Bristol this weekend is the next step to getting to Music City.
