Dak Prescott helps Cowboys fan out with gender reveal

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott hosted his annual ProCamps youth camp on Sunday at the Star in Frisco. On top of running drills with the kids and teaching them his signature hip thrusting move, the 29-year-old also helped one Cowboys fan with their gender reveal.
Prescott agreed to help a woman, who was in a No. 4 Prescott jersey, with her reveal by pulling out the secret news from an envelope.
The note he pulled out revealed: “It’s a boy!”
Although he proved adept at the gender reveal process, Prescott has yet to go through it himself. As he enters his eighth year in the league, the quarterback is still unmarried and child-free. He is, however, an uncle.
Prescott nearing 30th birthday milestone
The former Mississippi State star turns 30 in just a few weeks and the milestone has added to the pressure building on him to win in 2023.
“I’ve always felt older I guess,” Prescott said. “Just being 30 doesn’t necessarily bother me. Knowing that I am the old guy, going into year eight, seeing some of the young guys, some of the rookies and seeing the difference in eight years. It’s fun and challenging at times, knowing that I stay connected and stay in the now with what’s cool and whatnot. But this game is beautiful. It doesn’t matter how old you are because you play this game like a kid.”

“Just understanding injuries and what I’ve been throughout my career and understanding that you don’t have forever to play this game,” Prescott added. “I’m blessed for every moment that I get. Just trying to take it with a sense of urgency.”
The reigning Walter Payton Man of the Year took a moment to reflect on how much it means to him to be able to give the kid at camp that experience.
“It’s always great, it’s always a blessing to be out here in camp season,” Prescott said. “I’m just feeling the excitement. It’s special. It’s part of being the quarterback and being in this position that I never will get old to be able to impact the kids like I did today.
“The game of football… I’ve loved this game same way since I was their age. And I’m about to turn 30. When you’re out here, having these different ages, you see what this game means. Giving back and I like to interact and play the game.”
