Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott seemingly suffered a hand injury during the team’s victory against the Washington Commanders on Sunday. While speaking to reporters after the game, Prescott had his left hand wrapped up. He said the injury is “nothing serious,” as he might have hit his hand on another player’s helmet or facemask.

“Nothing unusual,” Dak Presscott said. The Cowboys took down the Commanders 44-22, and Prescott played a big role in the win. The former Mississippi State star completed 21 of his 30 passes for 264 yards and three touchdowns.

“It was great. It was explosive. It was fun,” Prescott said when asked about the Cowboys’ performance on offense, per Tommy Yarrish of the team’s official website. “You saw the big plays; saw some drives we put together. Our standard expectations for ourselves is very high. We understand we’ve got guys that, the playmakers that we have, the offensive line, the love that we have for one another, and you see it just the way that guys finish plays, guys cover the ball, and defense played very well tonight.”

Dak Prescott is on a hot streak

Prescott has been on a strong run in the last four games. During the stretch, the 32-year-old has thrown 13 touchdowns and zero interceptions. Prescott was asked if he was prouder of the 13 touchdowns or being able to protect the football.

“Probably the interceptions being true,” Prescott said. “I couldn’t even have told you that’s how many [touchdowns] it was, but I could tell you that I hadn’t thrown an interception. So just trying to be smart with it, but not hesitant or scared or cautious at the same time. Taking my chances. I’ve got tons of confidence in what I can do, where I can put it, and obviously the guys that I’m throwing it to, so that’s just a result of that.”

The Cowboys will need Prescott to continue his strong play next Sunday, when they face the Denver Broncos. On Sunday, the Broncos rallied from being down 19-0 in the fourth quarter to beat the New York Giants 33-32. Denver is now 5-2 on the year and has won its last four games.
