Dak Prescott injury update: Dallas Cowboys QB reveals severity of hip issue after limited practice

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott gave an update on his hip injury ahead of the team’s Week 12 game against the Philadelphia Eagles. While speaking to reporters on Thursday, Prescott said his hip is fine and he was a full participant in practice.
“I’ll be completely fine,” Dak Prescott said, per Jon Machota of The Athletic. “I’ve played with much more soreness.” On Wednesday, Prescott was limited in practice. However, head coach Brian Scottenheimer said that his quarterback has no serious issues with his hip.
“He’s going to be fine, but we’re going to be real smart with the tempo today,” Schottenheimer said on Wednesday. The Cowboys will need Prescott healthy if they want to beat the Eagles and make a push to reach the playoffs. The former Mississippi State star is coming off one of his best performances on the season, throwing for 268 yards and four touchdowns in the Cowboys’ 33-16 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday night. Through 10 games this year, Prescott has completed 70 percent of his passes for 2,587 yards, 21 touchdowns, and six interceptions.
Dak Prescott talks about returning to action after the death of Marshawn Kneeland
Monday’s win was an emotional one for Prescott and the Cowboys, as it was the first game the team played since the death of its teammate Marshawn Kneeland. Before the game, all the players wore a special shirt that had Kneeland on the front. They also wore a No. 94 decal on the back of their helmets.

“It’s been obviously a tough, hard 12 days,” Prescott said after the game, per Tommy Yarrish of DallasCowboys.com. “Through the bye week, those first few days not being with the guys was harder than anything. But the last six, seven being together, working together, having conversations, healing, shining light on who Marshawn was. Then obviously coming out here tonight and playing with the style he played with, the intensity, the effort to finish, super proud of the guys.
“Whirlwind of a week, great one to cap off with a win right here, but this doesn’t put a cap on it. We’re going to continue to move forward, shining a light on Marshawn and carrying his legacy. We need to play like this every week moving forward, he’ll always be with us.”
