Dale Earnhardt Jr. drops cryptic post about JR Motorsports Cup Series future during Daytona 500

Almost halfway through the Daytona 500 Dale Earnhardt Jr. is already loving the feeling of being a NASCAR Cup Series team owner. His No. 40 Chevrolet is out there making laps with Justin Allgaier behind the wheel, and it looks pretty sporty, too.
Justin Allgaier is keeping his head down for the most part. He has been able to move up through the field when he makes moves but appears content feeling out the field for now.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. on the other hand is loving what he sees on the track. He is also enjoying watching the race updates on the JR Motorsports X/Twitter account.
“Can get used to these cup racin’ updates from the JRM handle,” Earnhardt posted.
During the Duel race earlier this week, Dale Earnhardt Jr. had to sweat things out. Justin Allgaier waited until late in the race to make a move and it ended up being successful. At this point, everything else has to be icing on top of the cake.
Of course, Dale Jr. has a passion for this sport that few others possess. He isn’t just a former driver, he’s a historian of the sport, and one of the most important voices even today.
We don’t know what the rest of the night holds in store. However, it appears that Earnhardt has gotten his fill and then some. A good finish tonight would probably warrant drinking some cold beers late into the Daytona night.

Dale Earnhardt Jr., future Cup Series charter owner?
With the whole charter system technically up in the air with the 23XI and Front Row lawsuit against NASCAR, things are uncertain. But if Dale Earnhardt Jr. is having fun with a one-off start at Daytona as a team owner, is it enough to make him invest in a Cup team full-time?
Charters, if they remain in their current state, are only going to get more expensive. Maybe this is the sign that he needs to buy one or buy into a team before it is too late and the price really goes through the roof.
Then again, Cup Series ownership is different than Xfinity Series ownership. Maybe the goals and stress don’t line up with Earnhardt’s future. Only Dale Jr. himself knows.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. is enjoying himself right now. Let’s see if Justin Allgaier can deliver another accolade to Earnhardt and JR Motorsports.
