Dale Earnhardt Jr. gives surprising ranking of Penske cars in 2025 NASCAR season

Dale Earnhardt Jr. recognizes Team Penske has been one of the more interesting squads to follow in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2025. With their immense championship success over the past couple of seasons, they know how to come through when the lights are the brightest.
Joey Logano and Austin Cindric have already found Victory Lane in 2025, and Ryan Blaney has come painstakingly close in multiple races. Additionally, Josh Berry, driving a Penske assisted car for the Wood Brothers, won a race earlier this season. Their foursome has been among the best in the Cup Series this season.
Who rises above the rest though? On the latest episode of the Dale Jr. Download, Earnhardt Jr. ranked the four drivers thus far, and the results may surprise you.
“Blaney, Josh Berry, Logano, Cindric,” Earnhardt Jr. revealed. “I know Berry’s technically the Wood Brothers, but it’s a Penske assisted car. I call it a Penske car. You know, equipment wise, for sure. So, I’ll put him in this group. The Wood Brothers, they’re prideful people, no disrespect, but there is a connection there. I have to include him there, and it shows.”
While Blaney is the lone Penske wheelman without a win this season, he’s been phenomenal in a myriad of other aspects. The Hartford, Ohio native has six top tens, five top fives and 200 laps led in 2025. He’s fifth in points, and has come close on multiple occasions to winning a race. Victory Lane will call his name soon, so it’s not hard to see why Earnhardt Jr. has been impressed with Blaney.

The real surprise comes with Berry at second in Earnhardt Jr.’s rankings. He won at Las Vegas Motor Speedway earlier this season, and he’s amassed two top fives and three top tens this season. He’s P17 in points, but as Berry is finally getting a fair shot to show what he can do in the Cup Series, the NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee is smitten with the Hendersonville, Tennessee native’s performance at the moment.
Finally, Logano and Cindric both have wins, but their performances throughout 2025 as a whole leave a bit to be desired. The reigning Cup Series champion only has three top tens and one top five, but he is ninth in points. Cindric, on the other hand, is P14 in points, with three top tens and one top five.
No matter how you slice it, Dale Earnhardt Jr. recognizes Team Penske has been wildly successful in 2025. We’ll see which driver stands above his teammates when the season comes to a close, but each one has a case to be made at the moment.
