With two games remaining in the regular season, the Dallas Cowboys are trying to get healthy heading into the playoffs. However, a matchup with the Arizona Cardinals comes first, with an important one for NFC seeding ahead.

Dallas released the Wednesday injury report, with everybody on the active 53 man roster participating. Barring any late injury or COVID-19 setbacks in practice, the Cowboys should have everybody available for the crucial matchup.

Full participation: RB Ezekiel Elliott (knee), RB Tony Pollard (foot)

Limited participation: DE DeMarcus Lawrence (foot), OT Tryon Smith (ankle), WR Malik Turner (calf)

The biggest name of the five listed is starting left tackle Tyron Smith. He has been dealing with an ankle problem for a few weeks, leaving Dak Prescott’s blindside to Terrance Steele. Now, the Cowboys will be getting back an All-Pro caliber blocker heading into the latter stages of the season.

As for the other four, they all played last week against the Washington Football Team and contributed in a big way. Defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence returning has made the Dallas defensive line even more dangerous than before.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones trolls Washington again

The Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Football Team rivalry is considered one of the best in the NFL. It’s apparently turning into a battle of the benches.

That’s right. The benches on the sideline.

It started when Dallas went to Washington earlier this month and paid for heated “Cowboys” benches on the sideline. When Washington headed to Dallas last week, the team did the same thing — bringing heated benches with its logo on it to a 70-degree, indoor stadium.

The Cowboys won the game 56-14 on Sunday Night Football. But what role did the benches play in that performance? If you ask Dallas owner Jerry Jones, he might keep them on the AT&T Stadium sideline forever.

“Those benches, I just assume keep them, if we can look them down out there and maybe keep them permanently,” Jones saidvia The Athletic’s Jon Machota. “We’ve had good luck with those benches.”

Sheesh.

He might be on to something. Dallas has won nine of the last 13 matchups with Washington even though Washington won both of last year’s games. The Cowboys won the Week 14 game at FedEx Field 27-20 this season, but came out firing in Week 16 to make the statement.

With the win, Dallas moved to 11-4 on the season — one game behind the Green Bay Packers for the No. 1 seed in the NFC. Washington, meanwhile, dropped to 6-9 and is dangerously close to falling out of the playoff race.
