Dallas Cowboys DB named-dropped Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott during arrest

Video has surfaced of Cowboy Damontae Kazee’s October 19 arrest for DWI. In the video, the Dallas DB can be heard name-dropping his star teammates Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott.
“I was just with Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott and we were just having fun — went out,” Kazee told the cop.
The 28-year-old told the officer he had roughly three shots while out that night, according to the footage from TMZ.
“Today, we was just going out to eat,” Kazee said, “because it’s rookie night.”
Police pulled the first-year Cowboy over early on a Tuesday morning in Texas during the Dallas bye week. A spokesperson from The Colony police said that an officer reported noticing physical signs that Kazee had been drinking.
The Cowboys defensive back failed a field sobriety test, leading to his detention. The district charged him with DWI, a class B misdemeanor for a first offense. Kazee posted a $2,500 bond.
Drafted in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft, Kazee spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Atlanta Falcons. He signed with the Cowboys in the offseason, reuniting with Dallas defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, who was the head coach for Atlanta from 2015-2020.

Prior to his arrest, Kazee started all six games and recorded 17 tackles, one forced fumble, one interception and three passes deflected. He’s played in every game since, notching 10 more tackles.
Kazee apologizes to his teammates
Damontae Kazee addressed his DWI charge for the first time after the Cowboys’ Sunday night’s win over Minnesota several weeks ago.
“I apologize to my family, my teammates, my coaches and to the owner, who gave me a job,” Kazee said. “I’m happy the Lord helped me get out. I didn’t hit nobody. I didn’t hurt myself. Just thankful I’m here now.”
Just days after Kazee apologized, former Oakland Raiders wideout Henry Ruggs killed a woman and her dog in a DWI car crash.
