Diggs played in just 11 of the Cowboys’ 17 regular season games in 2023 due to multiple injuries, including an injured left knee, which he had surgery on during the offseason. Clowney, 32, just signed with the Cowboys, who have struggled to generate much of a pass rush following the trade of Micah Parsons. Dallas has just three sacks in two games this season. The Cowboys will give Clowney another week to get up to speed. Clowney has 15 sacks over the past two seasons. He still feels he has plenty left in the tank to help America’s Team.
“I got seven primetime games to prove and show the world,” Clowney said earlier this week. “That was my whole thought on coming down here. I get to play primetime and put myself out there again. Sky is the limit again for me. I don’t feel like I’m getting old. Terence Crawford just beat somebody at (37) years old. I got a lot left in the tank.”
