The Wednesday injury report has been revealed for both the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers, ahead of their gigantic Sunday Night Football showdown in Week 5.

In one of the most anticipated games of the young NFL season, Dallas will take their 3-1 record and face off against the undefeated 49ers, a rematch from last season’s NFC Divisional Round. San Francisco was victorious in that game, which ended with Ezekiel Elliott playing center for the Cowboys in a bizarre finish.

After defeating Elliott’s New England Patriots in Week 4, the Cowboys are roaring and ready to get some revenge on San Francisco. Here’s where each team currently stands, as it pertains to their health entering Week 5.

Moreover, the 49ers have been arguably the most impressive team in the league entering Week 5.

Thus far on the season, San Francisco hasn’t really even played in any close games. They dismantled the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1, stifled the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2, borderline embarrassed the New York Giants in Week 3 and ended the Josh Dobbs hype in Week 4 against the Arizona Cardinals.

Leading the way once again for San Francisco has been quarterback Brock Purdy. He’s proven he’s certainly relevant, still yet to lose a regular season game since taking over the 49ers offense, and passing for 1,019 yards and five touchdowns on the season in 2023.

However, the real engine of the San Francisco offense is running back Christian McCaffrey, who’s putting up video game numbers at the moment. The star running back has amassed 459 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns in only four weeks of play, pretty phenomenal.

As for Dallas, Dak Prescott has been more than good enough, passing for 908 yards and four touchdowns to one interception on the season. However, it’s been the story of the defense, led by Micah Parsons, that’s led the Cowboys to their hot start.

A win over the 49ers would be Dallas’ biggest regular season victory in quite some time, but it’s obviously not going to be easy. We’ll be waiting all day for Sunday night come this weekend, because the Cowboys are going to be a part of a heavyweight battle in San Francisco.
