Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones suffered a fracture in his fibula, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported. He will try to play through the injury after being listed as a full participant at practice on Thursday.

Jones appeared on the injury report last week with a fibula injury, starting out as limited before becoming a full participant ahead of the Colts’ game against the Kansas City Chiefs. He then suited up for the matchup.

On Wednesday, Jones was limited as Indianapolis prepares for this week’s game against the Houston Texans. He then went to full participation on Thursday, and Rapoport reported the injury does not appear to be much of a concern at the moment.

“A situation to watch for the Indianapolis Colts, one of the NFL’s best teams this year,” Rapoport said on NFL GameDay Morning. Sources say Daniel Jones, who has been dealing with a lower leg injury, suffered a fractured fibula – one that he is trying to play through. My understanding is he was a full participant today in practice … also played last week.

“This injury actually happened when he was a limited participant, I believe it was Thursday last week. Fair to say his status is up in the air. My understanding is he looked good in practice today. But a fractured fibula is certainly an injury to keep an eye on.”

Jones is in the midst of a monster season after signing with Indianapolis this offseason. Through 11 games, he has completed 69.1% of his passes – which would be a career-high – for 2,840 yards and 17 touchdowns, to seven interceptions. Along with Jonathan Taylor, he is a major reason the Colts enter Week 13 with an 8-3 overall record.

Speaking with reporters on Wednesday, Jones downplayed the impact of his injury. His focus remains on his treatment to get ready for Sunday’s matchup against the Texans.

“It was just something that was kind of hanging over, and realized it last week,” Jones said, via Colts Wire. “Just been trying to get treatment and make sure I’m in the best spot I can be.”

The Colts will look to bounce back from a loss to the Chiefs when they welcome the Texans to Lucas Oil Stadium. Kickoff for Sunday’s game is set for 1 p.m. ET.
