Davante Adams injury update: Mike Florio provides latest on Rams star

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams was one of the many standouts in his team’s 44-26 Week 10 road victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Adams, however, left the game in the fourth quarter and did not return.
Mike Florio of NBC Sports provided an update on the status of Adams during “Football Night in America.” It’s an oblique injury for the 32-year-old.
“After the game, coach Sean McVay told reporters that Davante Adams suffered an oblique injury in the fourth quarter, and that he probably could have returned if the game had been close,” Florio said.
Adams hauled in a team-leading six passes for 77 yards and one touchdown in the win over the 49ers. Adams, in his first season with the Rams, looks as effective as ever. He leads all NFL pass catchers with eight touchdowns. His two-yard score on Sunday was career touchdown No. 112, passing Pro Football Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez for eighth on the all-time receiving touchdowns list.

Davante Adams, Matthew Stafford have a strong connection
It hasn’t taken long for Adams to form a strong bond on the field with quarterback Matthew Stafford. Right now, they are one of the more dialed in duos around the league.
“It’s one thing to have an arm and to be able to throw,” Adams said this past Wednesday of Stafford, via the team’s website. “That’s a prerequisite to play quarterback in this league. You have to be able to throw a football decently well. They [media] criticize everybody and act like certain guys can’t throw well, but they can all throw the ball. It’s just about how well you can get on the same page with guys and how much you’re willing to work through. Like what he and I have because some of the bumps we’ve had with injuries and stuff like that early on.
“Anytime you have a guy that’s cerebral about the game and understands that small different nuances, not letting certain things slide that are important as to why a 12-yard curl works out. Just understanding, ‘Tae I need you to be on the outside edge of the numbers or inside edge of the numbers or breaking at six versus eight [yards].’ Those types of things are really important to him and how he sees the game.”
