Davante Adams reveals he no longer hates the Chicago Bears

Davante Adams is setting the record straight on his current relationship with Chicago Bears fans. While appearing on the Dan Patrick Show, the Los Angeles Rams wide receiver was asked if he still hates the Bears since he spent the majority of his career with the Green Bay Packers.

“Oh no. Honestly, I’ve met so many fans. I feel like I meet more in the NFC North now because they actually come forth and speak to me,” Davante Adams said. “So, I let them know. Yeah, it’s cool. We can actually be friends now. I don’t mind it. I’m still in the NFC now, but I’m not in the NFC North. I don’t hate the Bears anymore. That was just a thing that lasts while I’m there.”

Adams added that Bears fans would not talk to him if he were still playing for the Packers. “They don’t introduce themselves quite as much, he said. “I think they tend not to hold back when I was with the Packers.”

Davante Adams played for the Packers from 2014 to 2021. During his time in Green Bay, the Fresno State alum was named to the Pro Bowl five times and the All-Pro First Team twice.

In March 2022, the Packers traded Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders. Adams then signed a five-year, $141.23 million contract and spent nearly three seasons in Las Vegas before he was traded to the New York Jets in October to reunite with Aaron Rodgers. In his 11 games with the Jets, Adams caught 67 passes for 854 yards and seven touchdowns.

The Jets released Adams in March, but he quickly signed a two-year deal with the Rams. In June, Adams talked about how fun he’s having in Los Angeles.

“This game is supposed to be a kid’s game, and us just having a good time, a fun time out there together. For it to kind of feel like Pop Warner, high school, college ball all over again, that’s exactly what this team feels like in the best way possible,” Adams said after an OTA practice, per the Rams’ official website. “It feels like a college-type of camaraderie. I don’t think I’ve seen a linebacker and a punter talking as much as I have since I’ve been here, or the kicker and quarterbacks, or whoever it is. There’s just so much crossover.”
