Deion Sanders, Karrueche Tran reignite dating rumors following cancer surgery

On Monday it was revealed that Colorado head coach Deion Sanders was cancer free following the news that he successfully underwent surgery to remove his bladder. However, that wasn’t the only revelation revelation made in the wake of the good news.

Actress Karrueche Tran was at the hospital alongside Coach Prime in preparation for the surgery. A video posted to social media by The Art of Dialogue revealed that she was at his bedside before the operation.

Tran shared the operation’s details through tears, “We are dealing with bladder cancer. He is having his bladder removed and they will create a new bladder with one of his intestines. This option was I guess, the best because it fuller removes the cancer to ensure that it doesn’t come back because it was close to his muscle.”

It had been speculated that the two have been a couple for some time now. TMZ noted that the two were spotted out in public together, so now the video has sparked even more debate over the nature of their relationship.

The video panned over to Sanders, who was sitting down and looking at his phone. “Texting the boys,” he said. “It’s their first day of practice today and I’m excited.”

Sanders said more. However, the video cut off before he continued.

His two sons, Sheduer and Shilo, are entering their rookie season in the NFL. Shedeur was a fourth-round pick by the Cleveland Browns while Shilo signed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers following the 2025 NFL Draft. Both played for Jackson State and then Colorado under their father.

It’s been a long road to recovery for Deion Sanders. Sanders underwent 14 surgeries, including the bladder removal. The Buffaloes’ leader was thankful for the doctors and support because he was truly unsure if he would make it to this point.

“The process wasn’t easy … you saw all the bull junk that transpired on draft day, it wasn’t just that,” Sanders said. “I had a surgery coming up. My sons to this day don’t know what transpired. I just told them something with my foot again, because I wanted them to focus on making the team and not focused on Dad. So they really don’t know.

“My daughters do and this joker right here. Much love to my son, Junior, who (did) not (leave) my side since we found out what was taking place. Not one day. He’s been with me here, been with me in Texas, been with me everywhere, every day, and I’ve seen his hands and face, and I love you to life, son, and I thank you for everything you bring to the table.”
