The Dallas Cowboys have revealed their first injury update on linebacker DeMarvion Overshown after activating him from injured reserve. In Dallas’ Thursday practice report for its Week 11 game against the Las Vegas Raiders, Overshown was listed as a full participant with an injured knee.

The Cowboys selected DeMarvion Overshown in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He did not see any action in 2023 because he tore his ACL in the second preseason game. In 2024, Overshown played in 13 games and registered 90 tackles, eight tackles for loss, five sacks, four passes defended, and one interception return for a touchdown. His 2024 season was cut short after suffering a torn ACL, MCL, and PCL in the Week 14 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Overshown returned to practice in October and was activated off of IR on Tuesday. It looks like the former Texas Longhorns star is ready to make his 2025 debut when the Cowboys face the Raiders on Monday night.

“That’s what we’re looking like — Monday night prime time,” he said in October, per Patrik Walker of DallasCowboys.com. “[Agent] 0 will be making his debut, and I’m excited for it. It’s not going to be anything short of extraordinary. I’m ready to show, truly, how blessed I am.

“A lot of people claim that this knee injury is one of the worst or the worst, and not too many people come back the same afterwards. I’m ready to put that to the test. … the sky’s the limit for me. And I’m not saying that to be cocky or anything, but I know what I bring to the field. … I know what y’all saw last year and you’re gonna get more of that.

Overshown, CB Shavon Revel (knee), and DT Perrion Winfrey (back) were the three Cowboys on the practice report who were full participants in practice on Thursday. Six players were limited in practice, including S Alijah Clark (ribs), OL Ajani Cornelius (knee/knee), DE Dante Fowler (shoulder), S Malik Hooker (toe), OL Tyler Smith (knee), and S Donovan Wilson (elbow/shoulder). There was only one player who did not practice, and that was DT Solomon Thomas, who has a calf injury.
