Denny Hamlin calls out Ty Gibbs over 'teammate bulls**t,' spins him out amid heated racing

Laps and laps of frustration just boiled over for Joe Gibbs Racing teammates Denny Hamlin and Ty Gibbs at New Hampshire. Gibbs had been holding Hamlin up as the NASCAR veteran was racing for position at Loudon. I eventually became too much for Hamlin.
On the radio in the laps leading up to the spin, Denny Hamlin was fuming. He was asking his team to talk to Ty Gibbs and get them on the same page. That didn’t happen.
“This is some teammate bulls**t,” Hamlin said on his radio before the wreck. He had a few other choice words to say about it as he raced behind the 54.
Gibbs went around, and Hamlin was ultimately the reason why. Then again, Hamlin warned Gibbs beforehand with a hard bump. These two teammates are not going to have a fun meeting on Monday.
Denny Hamlin was complaining for a while before this wreck happened. He wanted Ty Gibbs to give him a break. After all, Gibbs is not racing for a title; Hamlin is. So, what’s the line there when racing against a teammate in this situation?
“Does Ty know we’re going for a championship? What the f**k?” Hamlin said on the radio at first. It wasn’t long until Hamlin was sending Gibbs around. Then again, was it really the fault of the 11 at that point?

Gibbs is going to be frustrated. He later got back in the race, and his car had issues. He hit the wall, and after that, his day at New Hampshire was over. Things at JGR are going to be very interesting tomorrow.
Denny Hamlin had enough of Ty Gibbs
With how many times Denny Hamlin has had something go wrong in the NASCAR Playoffs, you can’t blame him for his lack of patience. There have been moments that have come up and ruined chances for Hamlin to win a championship. He wasn’t going to let his own teammate do it this time.
Hamlin has had to work hard to get his car going the right direction. Late in Stage 2, he has made himself one of the top-10 drivers in the race, and has been slowly getting better. Things are firmly in Joey Logano’s hands as far as the race lead goes. The NASCAR Playoffs will be a tight, heated battle the rest of the way.
What was Denny Hamlin supposed to do in this situation? Christopher Bell was starting to get hung up with Ty Gibbs too. This will likely be handled at the team meeting this week.
