Denny Hamlin responds to SiriusXM NASCAR host with ominous 'accountability' message
Today is the day that Denny Hamlin decided he was going to go and rattle more cages. He’s posting on social media again. Early this morning, Hamlin responded to Larry McReynolds and asked if he and Channel 90 SiriusXM NASCAR Radio would apologize.
Following his response to Larry Mac, Denny Hamlin was responding to Brad Gillie. Gillie, who NASCAR fans know from PRN and SiriusXM, responded to Hamlin’s initial post from this morning. He was more or less asking for peace.
“I realize you’re responding to Larry, but shouldn’t we let the animosity end?” Gillie posted. “I would love to see us all positively move the sport forward with unity and grace.”
Denny Hamlin didn’t like that. Hamlin responded, “Animosity ends with accountability.”
It is clear that Denny Hamlin feels he has been wronged by certain people in the media. There were harsh comments made early on in the lawsuit by Larry McReynolds. He basically said 23XI Racing hadn’t been around very long, and Front Row Motorsports wasn’t good enough to sue NASCAR and change it. Hamlin demonstrated that he remembers comments such as that.
Throughout the lawsuit and trial, Hamlin has been vocal both literally with his voice and with his thumbs online. There is a lot of animosity, as Gillie put it, in the air. NASCAR has a lot of work to do to clean the air.

Is there anything that will make Denny Hamlin completely happy? He won the lawsuit with a very friendly settlement. So, what will be the thing that finally lets Hamlin live at peace with everyone involved?
Denny Hamlin fresh off of settlement wants apologies
One side would argue that Denny Hamlin needs to let bygones be bygones and move on. Then again, he went through an entire lawsuit and almost an entire trial, with his team and money on the line. Can you blame him for feeling like he’s owed at least an apology?
When the 2026 season comes around, the role of NASCAR villain will be on another level for Hamlin. He may even get more cheers than boos if he isn’t careful. There are going to be a lot of new No. 11 fans in the next season. In 2027, it could be even more as Hamlin goes on his retirement tour.
Since becoming a podcast host, Hamlin has endeared himself to many fans. The lawsuit and his anti-hero attitude towards the fans has earned him even more support. So, it’s safe to say that will likely continue in 2026.
