Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers injury report: Inactives for Thanksgiving revealed
Ahead of their Thanksgiving matchup at Ford Field, the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers released their inactives. Their game will be the first on Thursday’s slate.
For Green Bay, wide receiver Matthew Golden will miss the matchup after practicing in limited capacity this week. He is dealing with a wrist injury and was questionable after Wednesday’s practice. Additionally, linebacker Quay Walker is out after being listed as questionable with a neck injury.
As for Detroit, there weren’t many surprises. Notably, though, Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold and offensive linemen Penei Sewell and Tate Ratledge are up for the Thanksgiving game against the Packers. Here is the full list of inactives for Thursday’s opener.

While he logged three full practices this week, Jordan Love is also dealing with an injury to his non-throwing shoulder. He’s active for Thursday’s game, and while Love said the injury isn’t necessarily restricting him, Packers coach Matt LaFleur praised his toughness ahead of a crucial NFC North matchup at Ford Field.

“It speaks a lot to him, just in regards to his mindset, his mentality, and how tough he is,” LaFleur said, via Packers.com’s Mike Spofford. “It takes a lot of physical and mental toughness to be able to stand in there, especially when you are injured, knowing that you’re probably going to get hit at some point. I thought he exuded that.”
That said, Love pointed out the importance of Thursday’s matchup in a crowded NFC North. Add in the fact it’s on Thanksgiving, one of the biggest football days of the year, and it makes it even more special to take the field.
“Yeah, I think anytime you’re playing somewhere, you’ll remember those games and feelings of being there,” Love said. “But as we always say, every year’s a new year. Every game’s kind of a new journey in itself.”
